VTA Appoints Mr. Nguyen Hoang Chuong as Director of Cooperation Development (in charge of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia) for the 2025–2027 Term

On April 4, 2025, the Vietnam Traders Arbitration Centre (VTA) officially announced the appointment of Arbitrator – Lawyer Nguyen Hoang Chuong as Director of Cooperation Development (in charge of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia) for the 2025–2027 term.

Vietnam Traders Arbitration Centre (VTA) welcomes Ms. Đặng Diệu Phương as a Member of the Executive Board and Vice President of VTA

On October 2, 2024, the VTA Council unanimously approved the appointment of Ms. Đặng Diệu Phương as a Member of the Executive Board and elected her as Vice President of the Vietnam Traders Arbitration Centre (VTA).

Before joining the VTA Executive Board and assuming the position of Vice President, Ms. Đặng Diệu Phương held various positions, including General Counsel and Legal Director at several domestic and international corporations. She has a strong legal foundation with a Bachelor of Laws from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law and a Master’s degree in International Business Law from BPP Law School, BPP University, UK.

Ms. Đặng Diệu Phương has demonstrated her capabilities in key roles not only in the legal field but also in strategic planning, corporate governance, and management. Her expertise and adaptability to the evolving legal environment in Vietnam have enabled her to achieve significant success in the roles she has undertaken. In 2023, she was recognized in the GC Powerlist Vietnam 2023 (Vietnam’s Best General Counsels 2023) by The Legal 500, a prestigious international organization based in the UK that ranks law firms and legal professionals.

Currently, Ms. Đặng Diệu Phương serves as General Counsel at Growth Technologies and an Arbitrator at VTA. Prior to being elected as Vice President of VTA, she held the position of Director of External Relations. Ms. Đặng Diệu Phương is a dedicated Arbitrator and has participated in several arbitration panels at VTA as both Arbitrator and Chair, handling complex disputes in technology, data security, automotive, and mechanical industries. As Director of External Relations, she has actively promoted international cooperation initiatives to advance Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Vietnam and the region.

She possesses the necessary qualities to uphold VTA's philosophy, mission, and core values as we enter the next phase of development. VTA’s Model Arbitration Clause:Mọi tranh chấp phát sinh từ hoặc liên quan đến hợp đồng này sẽ được giải quyết bằng trọng tài tại Trung tâm Trọng tài Thương nhân Việt Nam (VTA) theo Quy tắc tố tụng trọng tài của Trung tâm này”. “Any dispute arising out of or in relation with this contract shall be resolved by arbitration at the Vietnam Traders Arbitration Centre (VTA) in accordance with its Rules of Arbitration”.

The Vietnam Trade Arbitration Center (VTA) is responsible for organizing and coordinating the resolution of business disputes through institutional arbitration, with jurisdiction over disputes including: (i) disputes arising from commercial activities between parties; (ii) disputes involving at least one party engaged in commercial activities; and (iii) disputes as prescribed by law to be resolved by arbitration.
