About NextGen VTA

NextGen VTA is a community of young legal professionals and arbitrators under the age of 35, initiated by the Vietnam Traders Arbitration Centre (VTA), with the support of leading domestic and international institutions.
NextGen VTA aims to promote the culture of commercial arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in Vietnam, while providing a dynamic platform for connection, professional development, and the exchange of legal knowledge.

Through its training programs, mentoring, career networking, and international collaborations, NextGen VTA supports the younger generation in arbitration and law, contributing to the sustainable development of commercial arbitration in Vietnam and enhancing Vietnam’s presence in the regional and global arbitration landscape.

Objectives of NextGen VTA:

  • To promote the culture of commercial arbitration and ADR among the legal community in Vietnam.
  • To establish a platform for training, mentoring, and career development in arbitration and commercial legal practice.
  • To connect young legal professionals and arbitrators internationally, fostering global cooperation and engagement in cross-border legal forums.
  • To support the development of a globally connected and forward-thinking legal and arbitration community.

The activities of NextGen VTA are coordinated by the NextGen VTA Council, which comprises two Co-Chairs and members representing countries, regions, practice areas, or program initiatives.
Dedicated Regional and Program Committees – including Training & Mentoring, Research & Publications, and Corporate Engagement – are established to lead specific initiatives.

NextGen VTA is further supported by the NextGen VTA Advisory Council, consisting of renowned arbitrators and legal experts from Vietnam and abroad, who provide strategic guidance, professional support, and contribute to the development and branding of NextGen VTA.
