VTA NextGen Rising Star Award

The VTA NextGen Rising Star Award is an annual award established by the Vietnam Traders Arbitration Centre (VTA) to honor individuals under the age of 35 who have made outstanding contributions to the promotion of commercial arbitration culture and the development of the NextGen VTA Community.

The Award is granted annually based on the recipient’s substantive achievements in advancing the mission of NextGen VTA, or for excellence in national or international arbitration and ADR moot competitions.

It is designed to recognize rising stars – representatives of the next generation who demonstrate professional competence, dedication, and the ability to inspire others in the fields of commercial arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR).

Objectives of the Award

  • To recognize and honor outstanding young individuals within the NextGen VTA Community.
  • To encourage youth engagement and contribution to the development of commercial arbitration and ADR in Vietnam.
  • To inspire professional growth, strengthen legal expertise, and foster international connections in the arbitration community.

Eligibility Criteria

The Award is conferred upon individuals under 35 years of age who have made meaningful contributions to one or more of the core objectives of NextGen VTA, including: (i) Promoting the culture of commercial arbitration and ADR within the Vietnamese legal community; (ii) Creating a supportive environment for training and professional development in arbitration and commercial law; (iii) Connecting young legal professionals and arbitrators internationally, fostering global cooperation and cross-border engagement; (iv) Contributing to the building of a forward-thinking, globally connected legal and arbitration community.

The Award may also be presented to:

  • Active NextGen VTA members who have led or contributed significantly to events, mentoring, research, or thought leadership initiatives during the year.
  • Participants who have achieved outstanding results in arbitration and ADR moot competitions.
