The Asia ADR Summit 2024, themed "Beyond Boundaries: Asia’s Rise in Global Dispute Resolution," was organized by the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (AIADR), the International Arbitration and Mediation Centre (IAMC), and the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from July 26 to July 27, 2024.

With 4.7 billion people, accounting for nearly 60% of the world’s population, and leading in GDP among continents, Asia is truly at the center of global development and international trade in this decade. This is the perfect time to discuss Asia’s crucial role in shaping global dispute resolution mechanisms. The Asia ADR Summit 2024 aims to bring together practitioners of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) from across Asia. “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step,” and the organizers of the Asia ADR Summit 2024 invite the ADR community to take this first step and pave the way for the future of ADR in Asia and beyond. The Vietnam Traders Arbitration Centre (VTA) is honored to be the Vietnamese arbitration center participating in the Asia ADR Summit 2024 as a Supporting Partner. Mr. Phạm Xuân Sang, Chairman of VTA, and Ms. Đặng Diệu Phương, Arbitrator and Director of External Affairs of VTA, will attend the Asia ADR Summit 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from July 26 to July 27, 2024.

As part of the Asia ADR Summit 2024 and in the presence of ADR experts from across Asia, VTA will also sign a cooperation agreement with the India International Arbitration Centre (IIAC).

The Vietnam Traders Arbitration Centre (VTA) is an institution that organizes and coordinates the resolution of business disputes through regulated arbitration, with the authority to resolve disputes including: (i) Disputes arising from commercial activities between parties; (ii) Disputes between parties where at least one party is engaged in commercial activities; (iii) Disputes where the law requires resolution by arbitration.

VTA’s Model Arbitration Clause: “Mọi tranh chấp phát sinh từ hoặc liên quan đến hợp đồng này sẽ được giải quyết bằng trọng tài tại Trung tâm Trọng tài Thương nhân Việt Nam (VTA) theo Quy tắc tố tụng trọng tài của Trung tâm này”. “Any dispute arising out of or in relation with this contract shall be resolved by arbitration at the Vietnam Traders Arbitration Centre (VTA) in accordance with its Rules of Arbitration”.

The Vietnam Trade Arbitration Center (VTA) is responsible for organizing and coordinating the resolution of business disputes through institutional arbitration, with jurisdiction over disputes including: (i) disputes arising from commercial activities between parties; (ii) disputes involving at least one party engaged in commercial activities; and (iii) disputes as prescribed by law to be resolved by arbitration.
